The future of content delivery

Being new to the site I thought I would introduce a new topic. I see a lot of comments concerning the way segments are shot, or who should be paired with who, or what the models should do... All very interesting and stimulating topics for sure. Not much feedback on how the content is delivered or presented however.

I am a developer by trade. User interface is what I think about all the time. I will offer some of my expertise and hopefully spark some ideas that can improve everyone's experience.

First off I need to say that the content at KMG keeps getting better and better. The models are attractive and real, the content is genuine and very well conceived, and the focus appeals to my taste. Without this I would have zero interest. Like meeting someone you know you want to spend the rest of your life with, I no longer need to search for content. Long live KMG!!!

I don't how KMG is marketed, nor do I care. I don't know how many subscribers it has or how many people work there. What I do know is that based on the content alone, it should be a very successful enterprise.

The site as presently constructed, offers downloads to subscribers of every feature shot, in low-def. Hi-def features are available, but limited to increase subscriptions. That is a good thing because the more paying customers there are, the better the content will be, and more people will join, and eventually you rule the world...well at least it's an everybody win. Here is the rub though, I already had seen most of the features (low-def) before coming to the site. That may be a good thing for me, but it does not bode well for the future - the whole rule the world thing.

What is the answer? I am not totally sure, but I know that for every forum you shut down two more crop up. You want to be able to have subscribers download content but eventually it leaks out, especially if it is good, which of course KMG is awesome. The problem only gets worse as you get better. Some sites have gone to streaming content, but that gives the user very little control not to mention downloadus interuptus. There is also software that captures streaming video, sort of  defeating the purpose.

My PC has a variety of cool devices that can do wicked things to video, but I had to write them myself and I still have to manage content, which can be a drag. I will leave off for now with what I feel is a glimse into the future.

Recently I had dinner with a programming friend of mine. I don't get out very much so I don't have the need to own a cell phone device, but a being a curious geek I couldn't help but marvel at his iPhone, as it was the first time I had seen one close up and personal. Here was a devise that connects to the internet and deliverers video with a touch screen and fits in your hand. I am so glad this did not exist when I was a teenager as I would have never left my bedroom. As I was scrolling through the apps I thought - "what a perfect vehicle for a KMG app."

I am interested to hear what folks here think. More later.

Well, it's pretty simple. People who wish to steal content will find a way no matter what. Fortunately, there appear to be more honest people in the world than dishonest. We could always switch to DRM, I know it can be cracked, but it's not easy. I also know customers hate it, but eventually content producers have to protect themselves or else.
I hate content pirates more than anything and I wish that the USA would crack down the way Europe is starting to do now.
All that being said, I don't believe that the people who steal it would ever become paying customers, they steal and thats all they have interest in. If they can't find our content for free, they just move on and steal something else.
Hopefully our loyal customers will continue our success, if not then I guess we will just find a new way or eventually go away.

i wish KMG eternal longevity. Before KMG it was damn near impossible to find quality KISSING content besides KissBrazil of course. At times you would stumble upon a gem of a scene which featured pretty awesome kissing but KMG Is the hand downs, undisputed champion of kissing content. my only complaint is I wish there were more updates per month but I'm sure efforts are being made to improve that.

A kmg app for iphone would be nice but i know that apple is very hard on what apps they allow to released on appatore and i don't think they allow anything that comes close to porn.

KMG is the best and no kissing site i have ever seen comes close...

It is true that Apple has managed to maintained control of the software, for now, but competition is coming and it reminds me of the Betamax, Sony's invention from the 70's. They tried to control the software as well as the hardware and so along came the VCR, making the Betamax - a superior technology to the VCR - an antique curiosity today. The porn industry did not create the VCR, it just put one in every home.
