Not likely. That would interfere with DVD sales. They are very expensive normally. They're... still pretty expensive even during one of KMG's sales. But anyways, I stocked up during a sale.
The quality is good for a DVD I think you will find. 720x480 @ 7 Mbps. The newest DVDs are encoded at 9 Mbps.
They're all 16:9 so they were either shot with a 16:9 SD camera or a HD camera. If any of the older scenes were shot in HD I wish I could buy them that way.
You shouldn't see any macroblocking you see with a poorly encoded DVD. A lot of porn DVDs are way too bitrate starved but KMG's aren't. Just look at this abomination I encountered recently:
