Need tech advice before joining.

Ok, I have a PC  with a total of 1.00 GB ram.

When I look into the computer system window, it tells me I have three hard drives with the following info to each.

1= Local Disk (C:)  27.8 GB free of 60.5 GB

2= HP_RECOVERY (D:) 80.8 GB free of 12.0 GB

3= OS_TOOLS (E:)  1.74 GB free of 1.96 GB

I am pretty sure that when I download any vids, it goes on my Local Disk C, but to be absolutely honest, I can't tell from the above info just how much is left and available for me to use in downloading KissMeGirl scenes.
Any help will certainly appreciated as I wish to join tonight, but figured I'd better check this out first.

What has me puzzled is the PC's total ram is only 1.00 GB. So how can it be that I have 27.8 GB's free to use on my C disk?

Could it be that the 27.8 free available space in Local Disk (C:) is meant as a precentage left of my totel overall system's 1.00 GB?

Once again, any help would certainly be appreciated very much. I am totally bamboozled by all of this techno crap. lol
So thanks in advance.

Thanks dasman, that's cool to know, but it doesn't really help me. To be absolutely honest, that only confuses me even more. lol

I guess what I should have asked was this. Can anyone tell me how much space I have left now for downloading KMG scenes to my PC with the info I provided?

Or do I need to provide more specific info in order to know the answer?

Yeah so when u see something as 'FREE SPACE' you should be careful how you use it.... it is free to do anything... so if u store something in the free space of ur C: It might be deleted.

First, you should ignore the other user's comments, they make no sense at all.

You should be saving stuff to your C: drive. You have a 60 gig drive and you have less than half of that left for storage.
1 gig of ram is memory, that has nothing to do with storage space, ram determines how fast your computer can operate any given task.
So the 27 gigs of free space is not related to the 1 gig of ram.
Once you use the 27 gigs, then your hard drive is full
I would recommend getting an external hard drive for storage, if you fill up your C: drive it can effect your pc's performance.
In your case, D: and E: are not used for storage.
You could also burn videos to cd or dvd for storage and then delete them from your C: drive, that way they're also backed up in case your pc crashes.

As a general rule, you should always have about 25-50 percent of your C: available for operating your system properly.

Bottom line, it's time to buy another drive or start burning stuff to CD/DVD in order to free up space on your C: drive.  Hope this helps.

Thanks very much...!!!
Now I get it.

All that remains now is to figure out how to add an external hard drive and I'll be good to go. That should be easy enough. I hope.
Plus, this cheap PC doesn't have a burner so that's out of the question for the moment, but your hard drive advice sounds good anyway.

By the way, I joined up anyway. And in light of what you said, perhaps that's not the wisest thing to do right now... but I just couldn't resist.

And let me tell you...I am currently freaked out and totally numb at the same time. Just finished watching Allie and Alexis, plus a few others and I absolutely speachless.

I should have signed up long before now!

Well, thanks for the sound techno advice and oh yea, thanks for the totally awsome work you and the girls are doing here. Wow...talk about top notch lesbian erotica!
Now it's time to get back to the show. lol

asiankiss1--I agree with KMG with the advice on your external hard drive.  I'd frankly keep as much off your C drive as you can.  I always keep my C drive fairly free--especially if you want to keep it confidential (I remember your post about the "you've won" advertising blurb that pops up--the girlfriend/wife in the next room).  It's easy to use an external hard drive, get a nice size one at Best Buy or whatever the equivalent is in your area.  You'd be amazed at how much you can load onto a good external drive.  I wouldn't burn discs, it's both not necessary, means you have to learn the burning software, and then you'll have to make sure you store your discs where "prying eyes" can't see them.  An external hard drive is easy to use, simple, portable, easy to disconnect and keep safely elsewhere for security purposes, and inexpensive.  It's just a little box that no one will question.

Keep it simple, safe and secure.  Once you do it, you'll wonder why you never did it before.  Sort of like your first experience with sex.....wink

Thanks MorSizzler,

I am going to take the advice you guys have given me concerning an external hardrive. I like that idea  better then buring to a disk anyway. Like you stated it's a pain and besides, it doesn't matter where you stash personal porn, because someone is going to find it anyway.

My kids would find it even if I had it buried it in a hole out in the yard. Kids just have a knack for finding goodies like that even while not trying ya know.
Especially mine.  confuse

But for the moment, I am going to try and learn the art of clearing my hard drive of unwanted crap myself, stuff that's stored there no matter if you deleted or not.
I do the disk cleanup thing and the disk defragging almost weekly, but there is still crap on my hard drive and I know it well.

Stuff keeps popping up from time to time that I recognize from long ago...so I know traces are still left there taking up space.
Grrrrrrrr....and that's a pain!

Well thanks guys I really do appreciate the sound advice.

Well, on my C drive of course.
No not very smart, but due to unavoidible circumstances, I have no choice.

I am also currently using Bass fishing tournament rules considering keepers. Keep five of the best, then as you view more, you discard the lesser ones until you fill your ultimate keeper limit. Until I can afford an external hard drive that is.

Trust me, it's not easy, as these scenes are all absolutely incredible.
