Yeah saying it's over is not something KMG can openly do as a business. You still want people to join and you don't want them reading the forum and finding out that the site is finished. It's just not something you say out loud as a business owner but it is over. We just have to take the hint.
This is normal. I used to promote this site, while not a ton of affiliate commissions, at least over $15k.
It's NOT a sustainable model. Offering 35+ minute videos for DOWNLOAD, twice or more per month updates for $24.95 non-recurring...
#1 reason : Affiliates drop it. There's no money in it for us, it's secondary to promoting everything else, (if all other traffic doesn't convert only then do we send traffic here). Most other subscriptions site have a $150+ LTV on a rev/share model, KMG has, wait for it, $12.50. There's no money to be made pushing this.
In reality, this should be a streaming video site, or have DRM protected video and cost $35 a month, recurring. I know all will bitch and moan, but it is what it is. Production costs, hiring and finding talent, web hosting, etc, etc is not cheap. If this site had that model, the affiliates would push it for more commissions, the site would make more money and all of you would have sustainable on-going content updates.
It was a good run, I hope they rethink the strategy because all though I'm an affiliate I really enjoyed this site. For this niche, nothing comes close.
I'm not sure if there are other personal reasons, but assuming it's mostly financial, it's a smart business move on his part to rebirth the old videos on Clips4Sale. It's a very what have you done for me lately climate. The people outside of this forum or not familiar with the site now coming across those videos are none the wiser.
I would have thought the newer industry girls would do a KMG scene pro bono due to exposure and other factors. But then again, that could take away from a day they would have otherwise got booked for by another company. Who knows.
Who knows what the reason is. Maybe the producer/director is sick, on vacation or has gotten bored and needs a break. Anyway it seems that once the explicit series went away is when things started to slowly go downhill. Those were my favorite movies but they stopped making those for reasons I understand but wish that they didn't let that stop them since almost every adult site out there has to deal with the same thing. I stopped posting in the forum a long time ago because it seems like no new ideas/suggestions were being used so I would just join the site here and there. I know that they say that they want the girls to do what naturally comes to them but they are professionals and get paid so there should be some give and take. Hopefully the site will get back to it's old self.
